Earring Care
Earring Care
Here are some tips to keeping your earrings looking their best!
- Handmade items can be delicate.
- Try not to get your jewels wet or leave in the bathroom (remove before swimming / bathing / showering).
- Protect from scratches by storing them on the backing card or separate from each other.
- Avoid spraying your jewellery with perfume, hairspray or lotions. Put your earrings on last and take off first.
- Don't touch any polymer clay or mirrored acrylic elements after using hand sanitiser as it can melt it.
- To clean your jewels, gently wipe them with a lint-free cloth on the front side.
Repairing your earrings
Hopefully you wont need to do any repairs on your earrings but just in case here are some tips to help:
- If the backs come off, I recommend using Loctite Super Glue Gel to stick the post back on. It's what I have been using for it's amazing staying power.
- On the hand painted acrylic earrings: If the paint work gets scratched or peeling you can stick it down with Loctite Super Glue Gel or buy some good quality acrylic paint to touch up from PNA. (Not the ones from the cheap shops!
- If you do have any major issue outside of normal wear and tear, please contact me for a remake.
